McDonalds Boorooma

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

McDonalds Boorooma

Riverina Steel Frames delivered the prefabricated light gauge steel framing package for the McDonald’s Boorooma project, marking our first collaboration with Structen.

With a tight construction programme, the project was designed to maximise the use of prefabricated steel framing while minimising conventional structural steel. Our in-house detailing and engineering teams worked closely with electrical, mechanical, plumbing and glazing trades to coordinate a fully integrated 3D model, resolving interfaces early and supporting an efficient build sequence on site.

A key outcome of this coordination was the prefabricated roof structure, which was assembled at ground level and craned into position as a single lift. This methodology reduced installation time and significantly limited working-at-heights exposure, improving both safety and programme certainty.

Our installation team, experienced in fast food and quick-service construction, delivered the framing efficiently and without issue, maintaining momentum across critical stages of the build.

Delivered in TRUECORE® steel, the system provides strength, precision and long-term performance, while supporting a streamlined construction approach.

We value the opportunity to work with Structen and look forward to building on this relationship across future projects.
