TRAC HSIE Building

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

TRAC HSIE Building

The TRAC HSIE Building is the latest addition to the TRAC campus, comprising 10 new classrooms and a well-considered structural design.

Through value engineering, sections of conventional structural steel were replaced with light gauge steel, including the use of LGS trusses to support operable walls and eliminate the need for large universal beams. This approach reduced weight, simplified installation, and maintained structural performance.

Riverina Steel Frames delivered the prefabricated framing package, with the design fully coordinated in 3D prior to manufacture to ensure integration with structure and services.

Installation was carried out by Ted and the team at EJF Construction, who delivered the works efficiently on site.

This project reflects the strength of the Independent Contractors Group model, with delivery across multiple divisions — ICG Construction (head contractor), PlastaMasta Wagga (internal linings), Riverina Steel Frames (framing), and ICG Fleming (hydraulics).

Completed on time and to a high standard, this marks the third consecutive building our team has delivered at TRAC. We value working with clients who are committed to quality outcomes and thoughtful design.
